Associates Retreat - May 2025

Building on last year’s retreat, led by iconographer Kelly Latimore, which focused on the language of icons, this year’s Associates’ Retreat will offer meditation and engagement with specific icons that represent the resurrection of Jesus, and several post-resurrection encounters with the disciples.

From the depths of the place of shadows, to the glory of the Ascension, this retreat will invite participants to pray with a small selection of icons, seeking spiritual engagement with the sacred stories onto which they give a window. Participants will also explore their relationship with the glorified Christ that all the baptized inhabit, having been ‘united with him in a death like his, [and thus] united with him in a resurrection like his.’

The retreat will offer meditations worship, silence, fellowship, and rest. Participation in last year’s retreat is certainly not a prerequisite for engaging fully in this year’s retreat.
